Here at Somerset Organics and Gilcombe Farm Shop our core philosophy is to produce and supply the highest quality certified Organic and free range food form the county of Somerset direct to your door.

As seasons and stocks allow we provide OUR OWN Organic Angus beef, Organic Rare Breed Bershire Pork and Organic Lamb farmed by ourselves here at Gilcombe Farm
The Farm shop and now the on-line shop stocks a full range of meats and poultry reared on local organic farms and also a fantastic range of non organic free range meats. Both are sold with the knowledge that you are supporting the rural community.

We appreciate that everyone is an individual with their own tastes and requirements so if you cannot find the cut you want, would like some individual advice or want some information on Organic Farming please contact Ricky, who would be only to pleased to help.

Gilcombe Farm, the home of Somerset Organics, is situated in the ancient Saxon town of Bruton, which is about 20 miles from Bath and 5 miles from Longleat, Glastonbury Tor and Frome.
The farm can trace its origins back 300 years to the time when there was no alternative to Organic farming. The present owners, the Portch family, have fully converted the 300 acres back to traditional organic farming and are proud members of the Soil Association, Organic Farmers & Growers and OMSCo (Organic Milk Suppliers Cooperative).

We are also members of the Countryside Stewardship Scheme that was setup to enhance and conserve English landscapes, their wildlife and history and to help people to enjoy them.

The farm shop is open Monday to Sunday 8.00am to 17.00pm and we are always pleased to serve and meet you.
